Constructed by Sustainable Building Solutions while John Porretto was President, the beautiful, sustainable home was engineered for safety, healthy living and ultra-low maintenance. It is located on Dewees Island, South Carolina, a 20-minute ferry ride to fabulous shopping, eating and entertainment in historic Charleston, South Carolina.
Heirloom-quality materials and architectural and engineering design create a strong, enduring and efficient home engineered to withstand 145 mph-sustained winds, exceeding code requirements of 130 mph for 3 seconds.
Approximately 3,700 square feet of air-conditioned space features:
- An elevator with an 8-foot high cab and a beautiful enclosed timber frame staircase lead to 4 large bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths, 2 gathering rooms with long granite bars, a large fireplace, 4 porches and a large observation deck for optimal privacy and views.
